The society attacks somewhat less importance to a son-in-law who chooses to remain in his father-in-law's house itself. But director V.Sekar has tried, in this film, to lend some prestige to such a son-in-law. Vijayakumar has three daughters. But he is subjected to certain problems by the husbands of his two daughters. His third son-in-law Napoleon proves to be his beacon light. This son-in-law confines himself to his father-in-law's house. Apart from being a plant in Vijayakumar's kitchen garden, he assumes all the responsibilities and onuses of his father-in-law's household. Naturally the other two sons-in-law raise their banners of protest. But Napolean Is not for giving up. He continues to be a faithful son-in-law to his father-in-law and sets all the conspiracies hatched against him at naught. He emerges victorious in style and with aplomb. It would be the first film to hit the screen for Napolean after his becoming a M.L.A. So the film contains many scenes that would contribute to boost his image. Roja is the heroine. V.Sekar has given rest to his favourite comedians like Koundamani, Senthil, Vadivelu and Vivek. For a change, he has banged upon Vaiyapuri for the comedy in this film. There is no sickle on the back of Napoleon in this film. No doubt, this is a welcome change. Instead, V.Sekar has placed the weight of family's responsibilities on his back. It is believed, by and large, that the director would make up for the losses of his earlier films with the help of this film's success. |
