Why are there large intervals between the release of your films?
The number of films that I act in is not important. Had I thought of it that way, I could have done 3 to 4 movies in the last 8 months. Viewers should have the satisfaction of having seen a good movie. They should not go to the theatre & then feel that the movie is a waste. Moreover the character should be suitable. Viewers should enjoy my films. That is why I don't accept all movies that come my way. There is no point in getting the money and saying that I also acted in a movie.
What about Gossips?
My family and my two friends have faith in me. Everyone has faith in me. There is no necessity for me to do anything in secrecy.
Tell us what you think your character is?
I generally do not like to hurt anyone's feelings. If I hurt someone I call them up and apologize. Why allow someone to think bad of our self ? I do not say 'No' to anyone. I like to help everyone. Even if I have to be out all night, I do not refuse to help saying that I have a shooting scheduled the next day. But I do not like to do service for the sake of publicity.
Have you gone abroad?
I have been to Singapore and Malaysia. But I like our place the most.
Do you celebrate Birthdays?
I usually do not celebrate birthdays. But if it coincides with the release of my films, I take out my unit and my friends and give them a party. That way it is more like a 'get-together' than a birthday party.
What about your marriage?
For now, I concentrate most on my career. I haven't yet thought of marriage.
Which heroine do you like most?
During the school and college days, it used to be whoever acted well and was popular. I have no permanent 'favorite heroine'.
What are the characteristics that you like in your father?
Punctuality and Sincerity. When we are punctual, we have command of the situation. He is a very active person. When we go out together he is ready before me and waits in the car, honking the horn. He wakes me up at four in the morning and gets ready with his lengthy dialogues instead of trying to do it on the spot. In spite of so many years of experience in acting, and so many films to his credit, he still goes to the terrace and gets prepared for his role. Such sincerity at this age is to be appreciated. He has lasted in the film industry till now, because he shows renewed interest in every role that he does.

Did you ever think that you would become an actor?
I did not think I'd become an actor. When I used to travel in bus no 12B, I used to think "So many people are around me, but no one takes notice of me. I should do some thing that people should say 'It is the boy we used to see in the bus, right?'". But I did not know what could make me so popular, though a small part of me said that it would be films. All of a sudden Mr.Vasanth called me to act. It was an impulsive and sudden decision. I knew neither how to act in a fight scene nor a duet. But I decided I 'd become an actor though father said that it wasn't a permanent profession.
Has stardom affected the regular way of life?
No, it has not. I go out with my friends as usual, though not as often as before. Everyone including my friends are interested in career. We still play cricket every Sundays in Ramavaram gardens.
What are your other interests?
I am very interested in a lot of things, especially after I entered the movie field. Lately I am learning stunts, dance, working out at the Gym and playing the flute.
How about food habits?
I have been a vegetarian for the past seven years. Well, I did not even use soap, instead I had been Besan, etc., But once I started acting, everybody was forcing me to become a non-vegetarian saying that I was working hard, going to the gym and all that. So, after 7 years I had non-vegetarian food during the shooting of 'Periyanna'. I ate the lunch that came for Actor Vijaykanth from his home. I like Mutton briyani a lot.
What do you like doing?
I like going to the beach and going with my friends to Bangalore. In Bangalore I like to camp by night at a sanctuary. I love going on the bike and going around in my car for long time listening to music.
Who is your role model?
My father is my role model. He had only finished SSLC exam when he came from his village. If only my father had remained in that remote village, he would have just been the supervisor of some mill, and he would have owned just a bike. And we also would have remained at that level. Only because he had the courage to come here and explore opportunities, have we also risen to this level & got our chances. So my role model is my father.
What are your plans for the future?
My father has made ready for me a large platform in which I have a lot to achieve. I will keep on going till my father is happy and contented with me. But he is not a person who will easily be satisfied. I will strive to satisfy his aims for me.
