Ultimate Star recently revealed in a interview that K.S.Ravikumar is the best director he has so far worked with and that may be put to test when his new offering Villan hits the screens this Diwali. Villan is directed by K.S.Ravikumar who like the Ultimate Star needs a hit badly to restore his star status. Villan is produced by NIC Arts S.S.Chakravarthy, Ajith's long time friend and thus putting to rest all the rumors about their split.

Villan is one another movie whose script is tight lipped. So far only some information like the lead trio has been revealed. Meena and Kiran pair with Ajith and Vidyasagar has done the music which is now fast climbing the charts with some racy beats. If the songs are shot in a nice manner they may rule all the charts thanks to the average music for the other movies. The trailers have began to air and if the movie is marketed in a big way, then Villan could be the Villan for other Diwali releases.

Some sources confirm that Ajith is donning a double role in this movie. In one role he is a bus conductor and in the other, a mentally retarded person. The relation between the 2 roles is not yet known. Meena and Kiran are better looking than their earlier movies and this movie happens to be Kiran's second after her mega hit Gemini with Vikram. Meena and Ajith have starred in two earlier hits namely, Anantha Poongatre and Citizen and all the signs are now right for Villan.

Villan is the 6th movie starring Ajith produced by NIC Arts S.S.Chakravarthy after Raasi, Vaalee, Mughavari, Citizen and Red. The next movie with this sucessful combination is supposed to be titled 'Maha'. The previous NIC Arts - Ajith films have been the debut movies for the directors but this time K.S.Ravikumar, a successful and commercial film director as known by all producers directs the movie. This is the first movie where K.S.Ravikumar and Ajith work together.Villan is the 29th movie for K.S.Ravikumar and the 35th movie for the Ultimate Star.

The story of the movie is penned by Vijay TV's Nayandi Tharbar fame, Yuhi Sethu who has co-starred with Padmashri Kamal Hasan in Panchathanthiram and also with Vijaykanth in the Diwali release, Ramana. Screenplay and Direction is taken care by K.S.Ravikumar. The camera works are done by two cameramen namely, Ashok and Moorthy. The art direction is by Sabu Cyril, who has done the sets for movies such as, Padmashri Kamal Hasan's Hey Ram and Priyadarshan's Sirai Chalai. The highlight of the sets by him in this movie is that the results are magnificent and have been done with the help of the latest techniques which have been erected in the Film City, Prasad and A.V.M.Studios. The toilet sets like in a Five Star Hotel in the Prasad Studio is already the Talk of the Town.

This is the third movie where Meena co-stars with Ajith and the first movie for Ajith - Kiran combination. Villan is the third movie for Ajith doing a dual role after Vaalee and Citizen.

Aashish Vidyarthi, the scar faced police officer from the superhit movie Dhill plays the role of the real villan in the movie. His performance as a villan in tamil movies except in Dhill have not been worth appreciating. But it is said that he has given a terrific performance in Villan.

Kanal Kannan takes care of the Stunts in the movie. His stunts in Ajith's Citizen had been welcomed well by the audience and in Villan he has choreographed stunts in a very different manner.

The stunts in the movie will be the best ones done by Ajith so far, for he has taken much risks in doing them. The dances and songs in the movie is said with confidence that they shall be prompted for a 'Once More' from the audience. In the song namely 'Adicha Netthiyadi' sung by Karthik and Swarnalatha where Ajith dances has very fast movements being choreographed by 'O Podu' fame, Ashok Raj will be one that falls in this category of 'Once More' Songs in the movie.

The supporting actors and actresses in the movie include, Pop Singer Karunas, Sujatha, 'Nizhalgal' Ravi, Ramesh Khanna, Vijayakumar, 'Pyramid' Natarajan, Paandu, Bayilvan Ranganathan, Crane Manohar, Jaya, Lavanya and many others.

K.S.Ravikumar who is now busy with his next movie is happy with the songs and he, along with the entire unit sing praise to the Ultimate Star, after his scintillating acting in one scene as the mentally retarded person.

Now the stage is set for Diwali Dhamaka and Villan is one movie with lots of expectations from the fans of the Ultimate Star and so far it is gaining some good popularity, if the screenplay and songs are good then it is sure that Villan will be the next blockbuster for Ajith after Dheena and Citizen.
