the scenes shot were some on Surya and Riyaz Khan. It was a newly constructed
school building, which suddenly collapses as the classes are going on. As the
students rush out, many are buried under the debris, and some manage to escape

sub-standard materials. Shri, a hot-blooded student, searches out the man and
chases him on the road, on his roller skates. Shri catches him, beats him up and
drags him to the hospital and shows him the injured victims in agony. Surya
played Shri and Riyaz Khan was the contractor. The scene was shot on the busy
lanes of Mylapore. Reportedly Surya took training for a week from Pandian Master
and learnt to skate, before he did the scene. Some scenes were also shot at
the School for the Blind at Poonamalle, Chennai. Jaypal, a blind youth, caught
